Reading: Students ranked their top 3 books of interest for book clubs and established small groups. As a team, they created a reading calendar so they could find times to read together and discuss. Students are required to individually take notes, ask questions, complete 1 weekly writing task from a menu of options, and be responsible for their own learning.
Grammar/Writing: We are continuing to type/piece together our final fictional piece of writing. We will print, edit, and revise until we reach the final product! We will work on possessive pronouns in grammar.
Comma Usage Lessons!
Science: Students have learned about 8 different forms of energy. They created energy wheels with 3 examples of each form. This week we will go through various stations and map the transfers of energy from one form to another. Students will also need to bring in insulators, in an effort to create a well-insulated bottle when submerged in ice.
